The most common chainsaw for home and small farm use has a 16” Bar, a low-profile chain, and a 1.5 – 1.9 kW engine. This is a versatile sized saw which is easy to handle and provides all the power needed around the home or farm.
MID RANGE
(38.9cc,16” (40cm) Bar)
Options can include: a more powerful engine, a larger bar, different profile chains, and an anti-vibration system to improve comfort and reduce fatigue when using the saw over long periods.
COMMERCIAL
(73.5cc, 24” (60cm) Bar)
Chainsaws are available in various configurations of engine size, bar size, chain profile, and ergonomics for all commercial uses; everything from small yet powerful top handle saws, through pole-saws with adjustable angle heads, providing a reach of up to approximately 5 metres (including operator), to large commercial saws featuring bars up to 24”.
